We are pleased to invite you to the Second National Conference of U.S. Alumni of Mongolia, September 17, 2008 organized by the Educational Advising and Resource Center.
In 2006 the Educational Advising and Resource Center /EARC/ carried out a project entitled “US Alumni of Mongolia” with a support from the US Stated Department and US Embassy in Ulaanbaatar with a purpose of establishing the US alumni network, raising public awareness on US graduates and supporting rural children’s education. During the First National Conference which took place on October 28, 2006 we have collected database of 312 alumni, who have studied in the USA through different resources. Moreover, the alumni raised over 4 million tugrugs with the aim of supporting education in rural areas of Mongolia.
As a follow up to the conference, the EARC, conference organizer, and the alumni representatives proposed and organized a merit and need-based Winter Camp Scholarship Program for the purpose of motivating the bright yet financially limited high-school students.
